Antistatic Masterbatches

Most of the plastic materials tend to build up static charges in all the cycles of processing and handling. These static charges can be problematic when these charges are accumulated. There are many effects of static charge accumulation & discharge.

1. Dust particles are attracted towards the plastic product.
2. Flammable chemicals and powders packed in plastic containers or bags have a huge risk of electrostatic discharge.
3. Thin plastic items stick together because of static attraction.
4. Electronic items may get damaged by the static charges in plastic packaging materials.

Antistatic masterbatches are used to eliminate these risks. Masterbatches based on fatty acid ester type of anti-static agents to neutralize the charges on the surface of the polymer.
