These masterbatches are the solution for achieving a COF near 0.2, crucial for smooth processing.

Slip additives play a vital role in modifying the surface properties of films, reducing friction between layers and external surfaces. Effective slip additives need to migrate out of the polymer to the surface, requiring a degree of incompatibility with the polymer itself. Typically, fatty acid amides are used for this purpose.

During processing, these additives dissolve into the molten polymer, but as the polymer cools and solidifies, the fatty acid amide is pushed to the surface, creating a lubricating layer. This layer prevents the film from sticking and pulling, ultimately increasing throughput and efficiency in production.
